You will have the option of having the blocks sealed or not sealed when you have the area installed and it may be an idea to consider this as it brings some advantages. The brick sealant will help prevent and reduce the growth of weeds, moss and algae as it gives a clear shiny layer to to the brick surface. It will also help protect against oil stains which can be caused from cars parking on the area. Block Paving does require a little maintenace and the sealant will reduce this as little and keep the bricks looking like new for many years ahead. You can still have it sealed after the area hase been paved as long as they are cleaned, re sanded and all marks, stains weeds are removed.
